I was always taught that God has a special purpose for each and every person. In this sense each has a destiny to fulfill. I was born in America and was taught that the hand of Providence macromanages events over the long procession of generations. Yet, as Abraham could dicker with God [Genesis 18], humanity can directly influence the redemptive outcome of events. These beliefs lend to the psyche a tough optimism leading to petition, action, and creative freedom. The burden of responsibility thus entails a signal challenge to invent.
