David’s Last Words
“The Spirit of the Lord spoke through me;
his word was on my tongue. (2 Samuel 23:2 (NIV)).

Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. (Jeremiah 1:9 (NIV)).

And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe. (1 Thessalonians 2:13 (NIV)).

Not heard today from the mentally stable:
I speak for God.
Today my point is a simple one – in modern times unlike in the Bible, no mentally stable person claims to speak for God. They may witness to the Word, but with a signal caveat – "May you remember the words I speak today that further the kingdom of God, and may you set aside and forget forever those words I speak today that do not further His kingdom." [Words very similar to this were always offered in prayer by David Miller just before his sermons at First United Methodist, St. Petersburg, Fl].
