The Process of Worship

Since all we have comes from God, what is the place for human planning, preparing and hard  work? How have you taken credit for something that was in reality far more than you could possibly have pulled off by yourself? What did it take to wake you up to that fact? The abundance of God's creation includes the creative capacity of man and his drive to meet and triumph over scarcity.  Scarcity as a part of God's creation is interwoven into all of life.  Its function is to provide purpose for all living things and in particular as a stimulus in man to partner in God's creativity.  That is, the activity of the Word is not finalized but is open-ended and is currently in process.  The partnership of God with man includes divine inspiration, insight, and creative resolution.   Wonderment is an appropriate and fitting form of dynamic worship in which God and man participate.
