In my view the world is crying out for authenticity based upon tested integrity and inner tranquility.  Isn't that what we all want--not phony perfection or plastic eloquence but a sense of texture wrought by the real pains and joys of life?  I cannot help but think of Huckleberry Finn and his sometimes bungling and tortured path even so far outstripped by his profoundly reliable ethical instincts.  Production of such persons is in my view a principle mission of countries cherishing individual rights and freedoms.
