The world cannot be abundant without a rich source of poetry in music, song, language, the arts. Today is my 71st birthday; a time for looking back. I remember as a young man the enthralling music of Simon and Garfunkel. It is not too much to say that they helped get me through a turbulent and trying time. In an incredibly stressful environment, they brought a strong and steady measure of sweetness and poetry. Today I offer a prayer for all those layering our world with music and portraits of empathetic compassion.
